Allison Lambert

Director, Digital Communications | SFU Advancement & Alumni Engagement at Simon Fraser University

Allison Lambert has a diverse work experience. Allison currently works at Simon Fraser University as the Director of Digital Communications in the Advancement & Alumni Engagement department. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Associate Director of Digital Communications in the same department. In these roles, they were responsible for developing marketing, communications, and public relations strategies to promote Advancement and Alumni Engagement programs and strengthen alumni and donor relationships. Allison also managed the design and deployment of various emails and newsletters.

Before joining SFU, Allison worked as a Digital Content Manager in the Advancement & Alumni Engagement department. In this role, they created strategies and employed integrated tactics to promote alumni engagement programs and events for over 165,000 alumni worldwide. Allison also managed the design and deployment of various emails and newsletters.

Prior to their roles at SFU, Allison worked as a Coordinator of Communications and Marketing for SFU Residence & Housing. In this role, they participated in the development of communication and marketing strategies, supervised staff, and orchestrated the presence of Residence & Housing at events.

Allison's work experience also includes a role as an Assistant Director of Conference and Guest Accommodations (acting) at SFU, where they managed conference accommodations and meeting rooms. Additionally, they worked as a Residence Life Information Assistant, where they served as the initial contact for residents regarding Residence Life and handled various administrative tasks.

Furthermore, Allison has experience working outside of SFU as a Social Media Coordinator for the Vancouver Ultimate League. In this role, they were responsible for managing and maintaining social media accounts, including developing a social media calendar and standardizing posting practices.

Allison Lambert holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Post-Secondary Leadership from Simon Fraser University, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication at Simon Fraser University from 1999 to 2002. Allison also has a BuAd degree in Marketing from Okanagan College, which they earned from 1995 to 1997. Additionally, they pursued studies in Graphic Design at BCIT School of Business + Media, although the start and end years are unspecified. Allison Lambert has also obtained various certifications, including Indigenous Canada from Coursera in 2021, Hootsuite Platform Certification in 2019, Standard First Aid/CPR-C/AED from the Lifesaving Society BC & Yukon Branch in 2017, and Social Media Marketing 2017 from Udemy in 2017.
