With over 20 years of electronic product design and manufacturing experience, Matthew Simms has become a successful technology entrepreneur with a passion for building and designing industry-defining products. He has worked in numerous electronic industries including energy, automotive, military, medical, industrial control and professional audio. Matt started his career in the automotive industry, engineering sophisticated end-of-line vehicle test systems that became the industry standard and were used in assembly plants around the world for manufacturers including General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.

In 1995, Matt became Director of Engineering at Miquest Electronics Corporation, a contract manufacturing and design firm in West Michigan. As Director of Engineering, he led his team in designing electronic products for OEMs including AM General, Beloit Paper, Oliver Products, Kerr Dental, Stryker Medical, Steelcase Inc., Herman Miller Inc. and GE Aviation. Between 1999 and 2001 Matt ventured into entrepreneurship, founding two successful technology companies; Corporate Live an innovative company in professional audio and video technologies and Simms Electronics Inc., an electronic engineering and consulting firm.

Today, Matt continues to assist in new business development for Corporate Live but takes a higher interest in leading product development under Simms Electronics. He and Simms Electronics continue to produce high-tech intellectual properties and provide electronic designs for many electronic product OEMs. His customer base includes Honeywell, Stanley Works, Pro Co Sound, Byrne Electrical, Plug Power, Siemens, Airlift, Suspa, Visteon Corp and many more. He holds US patents and is dedicated to designing advanced technologies using embedded processors, digital signal processors, Zigbee wireless, CAN bus and Gigabit Ethernet networks.

Matt earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ferris State University and maintains a long association with IEEE, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
