Umi Kalsom Yusof, PhD, is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics across various industries. Currently serving as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Glasgow, Umi is the recipient of the British Council - Women in STEM Fellowship. As a Senior Executive in Data Analytics at Sime Darby Property, responsibilities include developing machine learning models for customer prediction and campaign effectiveness analysis. Previous roles include Senior Data Scientist at MD Labs Sdn Bhd and Data Scientist at UEM Edgenta Berhad, with a strong focus on healthcare analytics and big data management. Umi's educational background includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and a Master’s in Control System Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, complemented by a Bachelor's in Electrical - Medical Electronic Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
