Nana Usui has a diverse work experience in various roles within different companies. In 2013, Nana co-founded Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR), where they served as the head of operations, managing annual planning, budget management, vendor engagement, and organizational design. Nana also established and managed the SVVR Conference & Expo, a major virtual and augmented reality industry conference.
From 2015 to 2017, Nana supported two venture-backed startups, AltspaceVR and Baobab Studios, with business operations and administrative consulting. During this time, they performed company audits and implemented office administration processes across new hire onboarding, facilities management, and payments.
In 2013, Nana worked as a project management contractor for the Sales/Marketing Team at BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc. In this role, they acted as a liaison between the Sales department and development consultants and was responsible for generating sales reports and trend analysis.
Prior to these experiences, Nana worked as an Operations Manager at Titan Advisors, LLC, a multi-billion dollar fund of hedge funds. In this role, they worked with third-party consultants to maintain and improve IT infrastructure and evaluated new technologies.
Overall, Nana has demonstrated expertise in operations, logistics, event organization, project management, and administrative consulting throughout their career.
Nana Usui began their education journey in 1992, attending Bard College at Simon's Rock. Nana completed their Associate of Arts (AA) degree at this institution in 1994. Following that, from 1995 to 1996, Nana enrolled in Purchase College, SUNY, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General.
