Cheryl provides comprehensive operational support to advance the work and ensure consistency of operations of the community impact division of SVCF.
Cheryl attended San Jose State University, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing. She was a very active volunteer through her high school and college years, giving her time to youth, arts and cultural programs and advocacy. This led her to work at Northside Community Center to coordinate intergenerational programs in San Jose for many years and be on the board of directors of the Filipino Youth Coalition and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations. She has received the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Good Neighbor award (Santa Clara Valley) and the FYC Community Peer award for her work in the community.
Her professional experience includes more than 10 years working in both nonprofit and technology sectors, organizing everything from community events and after-school programs to human resources and office management.
