Thomas Blon began their career in 1994 as a Design Engineer for Siemens Semiconductor Division. In 1998, they moved to Infineon Technologies as a Senior Design Engineer. In 2002, they joined Xignal Technologies AG as a Senior Design Engineer, where they worked on mixed-signal and analog circuit design and mask design for VDSL and ADC ICs, as well as BiCMOS and CMOS LNA / VGA design and Matlab/Simulink based modeling of DSL loop characteristics. In 2007, Xignal Technologies AG was acquired by National Semiconductor, where Blon worked as a Principal. Finally, in 2008, they began working as a Senior R&D Engineer for Silicon Line GmbH, where they were responsible for architecture level design as well as mixed-signal and analog circuit design and mask design for short range data communication over optical fibers. Thomas also had close interaction with customers already in the conceptual phase of product development.
Thomas Blon attended the Technical University of Munich from 1988 to 1994, where they obtained a Diplom Ingenieur (Univ.) degree in Electrical Engineering.
