Kris Young is a seasoned professional in the field of electronics and engineering, currently serving as a Staff Field Applications Engineer at Silicon Labs since December 2015. With extensive experience as a Principal Field Applications Engineer at Cypress Semiconductor Corp from May 2001 to December 2015, Kris has collaborated with electronics design engineers in the Southeastern USA and Brazil to provide integrated circuit solutions, technical design support, and firmware development. Prior roles include Electronics Design Engineer and Engineering Co-op at Phase IV Systems, where responsibilities encompassed hardware design for radar electronics and RF circuit development, as well as foundational experience as a Co-op Programmer Analyst at Informate, Inc. Kris holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, graduated in 1997, following earlier education at Virgil I Grissom High School.
