Hanne Moa began their career in 1998 as a summer intern at IDI/NTNU. In 2001, they joined UNINETT as a programmer where they made and released the linux-distro Samson 2.5, a logical sitemap-generator, and a streaming-guide (a la. a tv guide) on the web. In 2006, they became a programmer/sysadmin at UNINETT where they used vmware, cloudfoundry and eventually k8s v/docker. In 2014, they joined Uninett Sigma as a programmer/sysadmin. In 2022, they joined Sikt – Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research as a developer where they lead the development of EasyDMP (for Sigma 2), developed Argus (backend), NAV and lots of closed-source internal tools. Hanne was also on a committee to clean up the post merger email situation: too many kitchens, not enough chefs.
Hanne Moa received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 1997 and 2001. Hanne then went on to receive their Master's degree in Computational Linguistics from the same institution between 2003 and 2006.
