Yen Tan has been working in the professional world since 2017. Yen began their career as a Marketing Coordinator at Accel Employment Services, Inc. where they worked closely with the VP of Talent Requisition to develop marketing campaign strategies that promoted lead generation. During their time there, they responded to Request for Proposals totaling over $10 million in proposed projects, designed and launched digital marketing campaigns to prospective clients, and conducted market sizing and analysis on industry players, trends, and key events.

In 2019, Yen Tan became a Co-Founder of Kona, a burnout prevention platform for remote teams. Since January 2020, their team has interviewed 1,000+ remote managers to identify the biggest issues teams face, which are team building, burnout, and belonging.

Yen Tan attended Alameda High School from 2013 to 2017, where they earned their High School Diploma. From 2017 to 2020, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Additionally, from 2018 to 2020, Yen Tan attended the UCLA Undergraduate Minor in Entrepreneurship program and earned a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies.
