Shawn McCormick joined Signiant in 2019 as the SVP Engineering, bringing 25 years of experience in leading all aspects of product development in large and small companies alike. Most recently, Shawn was the Head of R&D for Nokia’s Security Software division, managing a global workforce of security software developers. He joined Nokia through the successful acquisition of Nakina Systems, where Shawn ran software, customer support, and IT functions as the VP of Product Development. Shawn started his career working on shipboard PBXs for the Canadian Navy, and then moved into senior R&D management roles covering network solutions and software development in Nortel Networks. Shawn holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
