Brian Robinson

Sr. Director, Solution Engineering, North America East at Sigma Computing

Brian Robinson has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. Brian began their career in 1999 as a Software Engineer at Bluestone Software, where they designed and maintained a technical website using JSP and Taglib technology. Brian then moved to Hewlett Packard in 2001 as a Software Engineer. In 2002, they became the President of Robinson Technology Group. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Consultant and ScrumMaster/Project Manager at Accenture. During this time, they were responsible for the software process improvement lifecycle, including process definition, pilot, training, deployment, and change management. In 2008, they joined Ringside Networks as a ScrumMaster/Project Manager and Senior Technologist, where they were responsible for identifying and delivering functionality for the Ringside Social Application Server. Brian then moved to Alfresco in 2008 as a Lead Solutions Engineer and Director of Services, where they were responsible for pre- and post-sales activities. In 2013, they became an Enterprise Solutions Architect at Pentaho, where they were responsible for breaking into Fortune 500 accounts from the technical side. In 2014, they joined ThoughtSpot as a Director of Sales Engineering, North America East and Systems Engineering Manager, East & South Regions. Finally, in 2020, they began their current role as Sr. Director, Solution Engineering, North America East at Sigma Computing.

Brian Robinson obtained a BS in Computer Science from The College of New Jersey between 1996 and 2000. Brian then went on to earn an MBA in Management and Marketing from Rutgers University - Camden between 2005 and 2012. Currently, they are enrolled at UC San Diego, studying Bioinformatics. In June 2022, Brian Robinson obtained a SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake. In July 2022, they obtained an Academy Accreditation - Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks.
