Robert de Santiago is an experienced engineering professional specializing in embedded systems, firmware, and hardware development, currently serving as Embedded Systems Manager at Sight Sciences since May 2018. In this role, Robert leads the design process from requirements through implementation and validation for medical devices tailored for ophthalmologists and optometrists. Previous positions include Senior Consulting Engineer at Faraday Bicycles, where Robert managed R&D for electric assisted bikes, and Consulting Systems Architect at Voler Systems, focusing on hardware design across multiple industries. Robert’s extensive background also includes principal and senior roles at XXT LLC, QSecure, RKI Instruments, and QualiTau, demonstrating a strong track record in product development from conception to manufacturing.
