Valeria "Val" Johnson is a dedicated veterinarian with extensive experience in animal health and welfare. Currently serving as a Staff Veterinarian at Sietsema Farms since June 2022, Val has previously held positions including a 4th Year Veterinary Student at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and various internships focused on swine and turkey production. Val's professional background includes conducting animal welfare audits, delivering lectures on poultry management as an Adjunct Instructor, and extensive hands-on experience in veterinary practices related to swine and poultry. Val holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University and a Bachelorā€™s degree in Animal Sciences, complemented by certifications in Poultry Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
