Andy Crafts has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Andy is currently the Director of Engineering at Sierra-Olympic Technologies Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Systems Engineer at the same company from September 2021 to July 2022. Before joining Sierra-Olympic Technologies, they worked as an Engineering Program Manager at Auterion from July 2021 to September 2021. Andy also served as the Engineering Manager, Robotics at Auterion GS from February 2020 to July 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Zepher Inc from May 2018 to February 2020.
Prior to these roles, Andy gained valuable experience at Aerovel where they started as a Computer Engineering Intern in June 2011 and was later invited back after graduating to work as a Computer Engineer. At Aerovel, they were responsible for overseeing ground hardware and payload related systems on the aircraft, becoming a certified Flexrotor operator and maintainer, and demonstrating the aircraft to various companies and agencies. Before their time at Aerovel, they worked as a Tech Support and Consultant as a self-employed individual from January 2010 to June 2012.
Andy also had roles at Cal Poly State University as a Tech Support and Library Lab Monitor from January 2010 to June 2011, and at Red Bull as a Student Brand Manager from September 2010 to June 2011. Andy began their career as a Windsurf Instructor at Big Winds Hood River from June 2003 to September 2009.
Andy Crafts pursued a degree in Computer Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 2008 and 2012.
