Dieter Barnard possesses extensive experience in product management and digital services within the mobility sector, currently serving as the Head of Product Management for Digital Services at Siemens since May 2012. This role involves overseeing portfolio and product management for digital offerings that enhance value for rail maintainers, asset owners, and operators. Prior positions at Siemens include Global Portfolio Manager for Rail Services and Head of Rail IoT/Connectivity Solutions, where responsibilities encompassed asset management and connectivity solutions for rolling stock and rail infrastructure. Dieter also held roles related to road and city mobility IT and electric vehicle infrastructure. Before Siemens, experience included heading product management for Business Support Systems at Nokia Siemens Networks and various positions in mobile networks. Dieter is well-educated, holding a PhD in Computer Science, an MBA, and completing an Advanced Management Course at Siemens.
