Wadi Eghterafi is a skilled professional with diverse experience in crisis counseling, machine learning, healthcare outreach, and research. Currently serving as a Crisis Counselor at Crisis Text Line, Wadi utilizes validation and active listening to support individuals in crisis. Previously, Wadi worked as a Machine Learning Analyst at Rush University Medical Center, leading a project on AI detection of lung cancer and developing a COVID-19 diagnostic algorithm. As Director of Hospitality and Data for Street Medicine Group, Wadi provided medical support to homeless individuals and organized research for the International Street Medicine Symposium. Wadi also held leadership roles in various organizations, including as President of the Persian Medical Association at UCLA and Founder of Yadavary Wellness and Health Inc., where Wadi initiated community service projects and research on homelessness. Wadi's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Psychobiology from UCLA.
