John Ratke is a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Systems Development at Shure Incorporated since March 2021. Prior to this role, John worked at Motorola Mobility (a Lenovo Company) from May 2014 to June 2020 as a Principal Staff Software Engineer, where software for low-power sensor hubs was developed, and sensor algorithms for gesture and context detection were implemented. Earlier, John held the same title at Motorola Mobility, Inc from May 2011 to May 2014, completing a Six Sigma Green Belt project focused on unit testing and contributing to fixes in the Radio Interface Layer for the Atrix phone. John began the career at Motorola in May 1999 as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, designing device layer interfaces for SIM provisioning and supporting application and UI layer features. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, earned between 1996 and 1999.
