Barry Wong CFE, CISSP has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Barry is currently the Head of Asia Pacific at Shufti Pro since October 2022. Prior to this, Barry worked as the Managing Director at Matterz Limited, a self-owned company, from May 2019 to October 2022. At Matterz Limited, Barry provided fraud, risk, and compliance assessment services related to the Payment Card Industry, as well as fact-finding investigation support.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Barry held a significant position as the Vice President of Fraud & Compliance at MasterCard Worldwide from January 2002 to November 2018. Here, they played a crucial role in spearheading fraud prevention and compliance initiatives.

Barry'scareer began at ExxonMobil, where they worked as a Security Advisor from April 1997 to December 1998, and again from January 1999 to February 2001. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Barry served as a Senior Inspector at the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police. Barry held this position from August 1983 to April 1997.

In addition to their work experience, Barry is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), highlighting their expertise in fraud prevention, risk assessment, and IT security.

Prior to that, they completed a BSc degree in Mathematics from Hatfield Polytechnic/Hartfordshire University, graduating in 1983.

In addition to their formal education, Barry Wong has also obtained a certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in January 2008.
