Islam Mahrous, ACSI, CAMS, CIA, serves as Chief Compliance Officer at SHUAA Capital since September 2018, leading compliance efforts in the UAE's premier publicly listed financial services company. Additionally, Islam holds the position of Compliance Officer and MLRO at Shuaa GMC Limited, focusing on a range of financial services to institutional clients. Previously, Islam served as VP Compliance, CG & MLRO at ADFG, overseeing compliance for a global investment group, and as AVP Compliance and Risk Management at SHUAA Securities UAE. Earlier experience includes a managerial role at the Financial Regulatory Authority FRA, a senior auditing position at Grant Thornton Egypt, and an assurance role within the Health Sector Reform Program. Islam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Auditing and Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce.
