Frances Thornton has worked in the technology industry since 1999. Her first role was an Oracle Analyst at Yale University in 1999. Frances then moved to Bank of America in 2006 as a Business Analyst and stayed until 2012, when they moved to Wells Fargo in the same role. In 2013, they started working at Acuity Healthcare, LP as a SharePoint 2013 Developer C#. Frances then moved back to Bank of America in 2017 as a SharePoint Developer, followed by a move to Wells Fargo in 2018 and 2019 in the same role. In 2020, they began working at Signature Consultants as a SharePoint Developer. In addition, they have also been a Mobile Application Developer at Shoutem since 2014, where they developed the BlackHairNet app.

Frances Thornton has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Fordham University.
