Scott Moorhead has a diverse work experience in various roles related to user experience, innovation, and creative direction. Scott started their career in 1996 as a Creative Director at Med-E-Serv, where they managed a team to create online training materials for healthcare professionals. Scott then worked as a Digital Marketing Consultant at Marketshare for a brief period in 1999.
In the same year, Moorhead joined Looksmart International as a Creative Director before moving on to BT LookSmart, a web-directory and search venture, where they served as a Creative Director. At BT LookSmart, they focused on search innovation and designed features beyond keyword matching.
In 2005, Moorhead became the Executive General Manager of User Experience and Innovation at Wotif.com, an online travel brand. Scott led the UXI team for a decade, defining product strategy and designing primary features.
In 2013, Moorhead joined Shorthand as a Director, assisting the company in launching and growing their platform for engaging online feature stories. Scott also provided regular advice on product functionality and usability. In 2015, they transitioned into the role of Growth UX Lead at Shorthand, contributing to the development of their SAAS tool for professional publishers.
Throughout their career, Moorhead has worked with notable organizations such as the BBC, The Guardian, SBS Australia, and ESPN. Scott has contributed to product strategies, innovation, and design in the fields of media, travel, and technology.
Scott Moorhead completed their Bachelor of Business degree in Communications - Marketing and Advertising from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 1992 and 1994. Later, they pursued their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Education from The University of Queensland, completing it from 2003 to 2005.
