Sky Lantz-Wagner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sky started their career in the Bayahibe-Dominican Republic as a Scuba Instructor at Hotel Gran Dominicus in 2003. They then worked as a Server at Antica Posta in 2005 before transitioning to the education field. In 2007, Sky became an ESOL Teacher at Cobb County School District, teaching English to speakers of other languages. They continued their teaching career at Tongren University in 2010 as an English Professor and later joined the Peace Corps as a Volunteer from 2010 to 2012. Sky also owned and operated Dove6 Water Tours from 2006 to 2012.
In 2013, Sky became an IEP Instructor at the University of Dayton, where they facilitated language acquisition and cultural competence for international students. In 2019, Sky joined Shorelight as an Assistant Academic Director, providing academic program support, overseeing operations, and managing relationships with international students. Currently, Sky is working as an Associate Academic Director at Shorelight, utilizing their interpersonal and customer service skills to manage academic programs, support student progression and retention, and enhance the educational experiences of English-language learners.
Sky Lantz-Wagner's education history begins in 1997 when they attended The University of Georgia. From 1997 to 2001, Sky pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Business.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Sky continued their education at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. They enrolled in the MA program and studied TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from 2009 to 2012.
In 2015, Sky began their doctoral studies at the University of Dayton. Over the course of seven years, from 2015 to 2022, Sky worked towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, with a focus on the general field of study.
