Marilyn Laverty has an extensive work history in the media and entertainment industry. Marilyn began their career as an Editorial Assistant at The Ithaca Journal in 1976 before moving on to work as a Freelance Writer. In 1978, they became a Publicity Manager at RCA Records and then transitioned to Vice President of Publicity at Columbia Records in 1979. Laverty's most significant role to date has been as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Shore Fire Media, a company specializing in print, broadcast, and digital campaigns for high-profile clients in music, entertainment, and the arts. Marilyn has led a team of 40 staff members across their offices in Brooklyn, LA, and Nashville. Laverty has also played a pivotal role in directing Shore Fire's involvement in the Dolphin Entertainment supergroup of media and marketing companies.
Marilyn Laverty attended Cornell University from 1972 to 1976, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Music.
