Simon Pearson is a Senior Software Engineer at Shopify since October 2021, contributing to the Shop Cash loyalty program and ad platform within the Shop App, which ranks third in the Shopping Category on the App Store. Prior to this role, Simon served as Director of Software at SmartHalo from January 2017 to October 2021, leading an IoT team and utilizing a diverse tech stack that included RTOS, Nordic BLE, Kotlin/Java, and AWS Node microservices. Simon also held positions as Lead Android Developer at nventive and worked on mobile and web applications early in their career during internships at Ville de Longueuil and Dental Wings. Simon holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, completed from 2009 to 2014.
