Karoshee V. has extensive experience in fraud operations and financial intelligence, currently serving as Lead for Fraud Operations at Shopify since April 2022. Prior to this role, Karoshee held multiple positions at Scotiabank from May 2014 to April 2022, including Manager of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Team Leader in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) Investigations, and Bilingual Fraud Investigations Team Lead. Earlier experience includes working as a Legal Assistant at Jill C. Anthony Professional Corporation and as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Population Health. Karoshee holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Ottawa, completed in 2012.
