Elizabeth McGuane is an experienced UX leader currently serving as the Director of UX for Payments and Cross Border at Shopify since June 2018, where leadership includes building Shopify Payments and tools for international merchants. Previously, Elizabeth held various roles at Shopify, including UX Director for Scale and Senior UX Manager, focusing on enhancing user experiences across different platforms. Prior to Shopify, Elizabeth was Content Design Lead at Intercom, where a content strategy practice was established, and had consultancy roles at Pithysmith and FleishmanHillard, contributing to content strategy development. Elizabeth's career began in content strategy with significant roles at Digitas UK and Each&Other, along with early writing experience as a freelance writer. Elizabeth holds education from University of Toronto and University College Dublin.
