Akshay Patil is an experienced product leader with a strong background in technology and engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Product for Core Deliver at Shopify since November 2021, Akshay manages a team of product managers focused on enhancing Shopify's platform for merchants. Prior to this role, Akshay was Product Lead for Ride XP at Lyft from July 2018 to August 2021, where notable improvements in user retention contributed to a 5% increase in rides and significant revenue growth. Akshay also held leadership positions at Beme, Samsung Accelerator, Foursquare, Google, and IBM, with a career marked by successful product management and engineering initiatives. Akshay holds a Master of Engineering and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
