Neesha Desai has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Neesha currently holds the position of Director of Product at Shoelace Learning, where they started in August 2021. Prior to this, Neesha worked as a self-employed individual, developing and publishing an iOS game called "Droplet - a game of states" in November 2017.

From February 2019 to July 2021, Neesha worked at Pagefreezer, first as a Software Engineer and later as a Technical Product Owner. At Squiggle Park, Neesha held various roles from June 2016 to December 2018, including EdTech Consultant and Product Manager/CPO. Neesha'sresponsibilities at Squiggle Park involved leading the product development of the Squiggle Park app and designing the curriculum, world maps, stages, and mini games within the app.

Neesha also co-founded Alieo Games in April 2014, where they served as a developer. Alieo Games aimed to encourage children in grades 3-8 to write more by providing creative writing prompts. Prior to this, Neesha worked as a Software Engineer at AppLocation from September 2006 to July 2007, and as a Co-Op Student at the same company from May 2005 to December 2005.

Neesha Desai completed their education in Computer Science in a chronological order. Neesha obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria between the years 2002 and 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta, studying between 2007 and 2009. Neesha continued their educational journey at the University of Alberta and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science, completing their studies from 2009 to 2015.
