Sean Nguyen has a diverse work experience in the field of medical affairs and pharmaceuticals spanning over 16 years. Sean began their career as a Pharmacy Practice Resident at Texas Health Resources in 2006, where they developed their foundational skills. Sean then transitioned to Children's Health in 2007 and served as a Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist for three years before being promoted to Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Infectious Disease Specialist in 2010.
In 2014, Sean joined Allergan as a Medical Science Liaison, specializing in Infectious Disease, where they contributed their expertise for three years. Building on their experience, they joined Shionogi Inc. in 2017 as a Medical Science Liaison, continuing their work in the field of Infectious Disease. Sean's contributions at Shionogi Inc. were highly valued, leading to their promotion to Senior Medical Science Liaison in 2020, and subsequently as Director of Medical Affairs for Infectious Disease in 2022.
Throughout their career, Sean has demonstrated their dedication and expertise in the medical field, particularly in Infectious Disease. Sean has developed strong relationships with healthcare professionals and organizations, and has made significant contributions to the medical affairs and pharmaceutical industry.
Sean Nguyen received their Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2000, they studied Zoology/Biology at Texas Tech University. Sean also obtained their high school education from Allen High School. In addition to their degrees, Sean Nguyen has obtained several certifications, including being a Board Certified Infectious Disease Pharmacist (BCIDP) from the BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties, which they obtained in November 2018. Sean is also a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist with Added Qualifications in Infectious Disease (BCPS-AQ ID) from the BPS - Board of Pharmacy Specialties, obtained in January 2009. In 2006, Sean Nguyen became a Registered Pharmacist through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
