Lane Konkel has a diverse work experience in supply chain and operations management. They started their career at GE Healthcare in 2011 as an XRay Lean Leader intern, followed by an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer intern in 2012. In 2013, they joined GE Healthcare full-time and went through the Operations Management Leadership Program, completing rotations in CT Lean Leadership, Ultrasound Value Stream Leadership, and Product Sourcing Leadership. During these rotations, they implemented various Lean methodologies, improved productivity, reduced scrap costs, and facilitated cost-saving initiatives. In 2017, they became the Materials Team Lead at GE Healthcare, responsible for leading the materials team. In 2020, they transitioned to Shinola as the Sales & Operations Planning and Materials Manager and later assumed the role of Director of Supply Chain in 2021.
Lane Konkel attended Purdue University from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering. After that, from 2015 to 2017, Lane attended Penn State University, where they obtained two degrees. The first degree was a Master of Science (M.S.) in Supply Chain Management, and the second degree was a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management.
Additionally, Lane Konkel obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from General Electric in August 2014.
