Sona Walentin has over two decades of experience in the legal and recruitment sectors, currently serving as a Partner and Managing Director at SSQ since August 2005, with a strong focus on high-profile recruitment and strategic legal issues, including mergers and office expansions for law firm clients. Prior to this role, Sona worked as an Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP specializing in Corporate/M&A, particularly in large cross-border transactions, and at Allen & Overy focusing on telecommunications law and corporate/M&A. Sona's academic qualifications include a Dr. iur. in Law from Universität Trier and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of Wales, alongside completing the Referendariat in Hamburg.
