Shekar Hariharan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Shekar is the Founder and CEO of the Shifting Orbits Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on providing support and guidance to economically challenged families for their children's educational journey. Shekar has also worked as a Fellow at Teach For India, where they taught English and Maths to 6th and 7th graders in a Government school and gained exposure to the realities of public education and urban poverty. Shekar has been a Global Volunteer at the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation, where they were responsible for relationship building and stewardship in specific communities. Shekar Hariharan has a diverse education history. Shekar started by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Padmashree Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth from 1992 to 1996. Later, in 2005 to 2006, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Finance from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Pune. In 2008 to 2009, they pursued a Master's degree in Executive General Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. In terms of additional certifications, Shekar has obtained certifications in various fields such as Non Profit Fundraising Essentials, Business Model for Social Enterprises, Human Centered Design, Social Impact Analysis, and Social Entrepreneurship 101, which were offered by +Acumen.
