Chris Ostrum has extensive work experience in software engineering roles. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer at Shift5 since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Maxar Technologies and DigitalGlobe as a Senior Staff Software Engineer from April 2019 to May 2022 and from June 2014 to May 2022, respectively. Before joining these companies, Chris worked at Sierra Nevada Corporation as a Mission Software Technical Lead from May 2012 to June 2014 and as a Software Engineer from January 2010 to June 2012. Chris also has experience working as a Software Engineer at U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from April 2009 to December 2009, at Prodea Systems from September 2008 to December 2008, and at EchoStar Corporation from May 2006 to September 2008.

Chris Ostrum pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Montana Technological University from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they attended the Colorado School of Mines from 2009 to 2010, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering.
