Mike Klodginski has over 20 years of work experience in product design, user experience, and interaction design. Mike began their career in 2000 as a Design Intern at Kemnitzer Design Inc., where they worked closely with senior designers to develop in-house promotional print work and web content. In 2002, they worked as a Web Designer at the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning, Advanced Learning Technologies (ALTec). From 2003 to 2005, they worked at Sprint as an Interaction Designer, where they used a goal-directed approach to determine product behavior, usage, and experience. From 2005 to 2006, they worked at Modelsmith International as a Project Lead and Custom Fabricator, responsible for coordinating the daily operations of multiple workers in order to meet deadlines and keep various projects on schedule. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at R/GA as a Senior Interaction Designer, where they collaborated with visual designers and programmers to develop information architecture and user interfaces. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Method, Inc. as a Lead Interaction Designer, where they created and directed excellent user experience design and deliverables for Method projects. Finally, from 2020 to present, they have been the Director of Product Design at Shift Lab.
Mike Klodginski attended The University of Kansas from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a BFA in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, and Spanish. Mike then attended Windsor Institute in Barcelona in 2005, where they earned a Trinity College of London Certificate TESOL in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
