Duncan Woodhouse has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Sales Executive for Hays. In 2001, they became the Operations and Technical Director for THE BANNER CONSULTANCY LIMITED, where they provided training and technical consultancy services to clients such as Zurich and Corus (formally British Steel). In 2004, they moved to ADECS as an Information Technology Engineer, where they gained experience in server, desktop, email, application support and web design. In 2006, they joined Warwick University as an Assistant Registrar for Information Security, Risk Management and Business Continuity. Duncan was later promoted to the senior most position for information security. In 2011, they founded Phoenix Consultancy, where they provided consultancy services to small/medium clients in the West Midlands. Duncan also worked as an Information Security Manager for Capita Employee Solutions, where they were responsible for the entire security strategic function. In 2013, they joined Global Payments Inc. as a Senior SME and Project Manager for Information Security and Data Protection. Duncan was later hired as the Head of Information Security and Data Protection for Legal and General in 2018. In 2021, they began working for SPG as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)/Director of Security and for Phoenix Consulting as a Director.
Duncan Woodhouse's education history begins with their attendance at St Michaels University School from 1994 to 1995. Duncan then attended Keele University from 1995 to 1998 and obtained a BA in Business Administration and Environmental Management. In 2003, they received a Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft. In 2006, they obtained a Prince 2 Project Management Foundation in Project Management. In 2007, they attended 7Safe for CSTA Ethical Hacking, Firebrand Training for Security +, and the University of Warwick for Management Skills. In 2009, they attended the University of Warwick for the Warwick Management Programme (WAMP) and the Emergency Planning College (York) for Advanced Disaster Recovery Planning. In 2012, they attended QA for Project Management Intermediate and Prince 2 Practitioner, and Thomas International for Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) Practitioner and Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. In 2015, they attended ISC2 for CISSP. In 2021, they obtained a Foundation in Common Law (merit) from the University of London. Duncan also holds a CISSP from ISC2.
