Dane Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Dane began their career at Eye Care Associates NC in 2009, where they worked as a Business Analyst until 2010. In 2010, they co-founded Optimize Hire and held the position of Co-founder for almost a decade until 2019. Dane then co-founded Shibumi Shade in 2016 and continues to hold the position of Co-founder.

Dane Barnes attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2005 to 2009, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
