Michael Ziegler has over two decades of experience in the coatings industry, currently serving as Vice President of Research and Development for both Industrial Wood Coatings and General Industrial Coatings at Sherwin-Williams since June 2017. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Technical Director for North America General Industrial Coatings at Valspar from January 2016 to June 2017. Michael's experience also includes leadership roles in product development and coating technology at JMC Steel Group and various positions at PPG Industries, including Technology Manager and Global Product Development Manager. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Duquesne University, a Master's in Polymer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Penn State University.
