Jim Newton has a diverse background in technical sales and management within the coatings industry, currently serving as Segment Manager for Manufactured Products at Sherwin-Williams since June 2017, following the acquisition of Valspar Corporation. Jim has held various roles at both Sherwin-Williams and Valspar, including Account Manager and Technical Sales Representative, and has managed quality assurance functions for facilities with up to 100 employees. Earlier experience includes positions as Process Development Specialist at RollCoater, Inc. and Product Development Specialist at WorldSource Coil Coating. Jim holds a B.S. in Journalism & Mass Communications from Murray State University, with a focus on Advertising/Marketing.
