Samantha Cooper has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. Samantha began their career as a State Worker 4 at the Michigan Department of Natural Resources in 2017 and held the same role there in 2018. In 2018, they also worked as a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens. In 2019, they joined Sherpack, where they have held the roles of Warehouse Associate, Account Manager, Head Account Manager, and Office Operations Manager.

Samantha Cooper began their education in 2013 at Ferris State University, where they studied Environmental Science. Samantha then transferred to Grand Rapids Community College, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Natural Resource Management in 2016. After that, they attended Grand Valley State University, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Management in 2018. In 2017, they also participated in a Study Abroad program at the South African Wildlife College, focusing on Community-based Natural Resource Management.
