David Poole

Senior Systems Engineer at Sherpa 6

David Poole is currently a Senior Systems Engineer at Sherpa 6. David has previously worked as a Technology Innovation Lead at PEO DHMS from April 2012 to June 2020. There, they were responsible for leading all technical aspects of JOMIS IT systems sustainment, development, modernization, and technology transition (2015-2020). Prior to that, they were a technical lead supporting the MHS GENESIS acquisition process and ran PEO architecture, requirements management, and analysis processes.

From May 2009 to April 2012, David Poole worked as Lead Systems Engineer at US ARMY ASA(ALT) System of Systems Engineering. In this role, they managed a diverse team to coordinate activities in SoSE, the PEOs, and across the ARSTAF in order to establish the critical enabling processes and tools used to mature, evolve, and automate the Army’s system of systems strategy. David was also responsible for leading the review of Army tactical networking program and regularly briefing senior leadership and industry forums. Furthermore, they provided Army input to OSDs' systems engineering reports to congress.

Prior to that, from October 2003 to May 2009, David Poole worked as S&T Division Director - Supervisory Engineer at US ARMY RDECOM HQ System of Systems Integration.

David Poole has a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, a Certificate in Information Systems from the University of Southern California, and a BSME from Penn State University. David also has certification from LinkedIn in RPA, AI, and Cognitive Tech for Leaders.

David Poole reports to Jeremy Myrtle, CTO & Founder. They work with Rich Gessner - Network Integrator, Erick Landreth - Mechanical Engineer, and Sarah Polachek - UX & UI Engineer.
