Lisa Stringer has extensive experience in sales and marketing within the hotel industry. Lisa started their career in 1988 as the Director of Sales at Sheraton Columbia Hotel & Conference Center, where they were responsible for the direct sales efforts for the State Association market. Lisa also trained and developed the sales and catering staff and completed an annual marketing plan. In 2000, Lisa joined Fowler Hospitality as the Director of Sales and Marketing, overseeing the sales and marketing efforts for multiple Marriott, Holiday Inn, and Best Western properties in South and North Carolina. Lisa was also responsible for pre-sales and marketing for new builds and conversions. Since 2007, Lisa has been serving as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, managing the sales, catering, and conference services team. Lisa is responsible for all marketing endeavors and the creation and execution of the annual strategic sales plan. Lisa works towards maximizing revenue from group sales efforts for 400 guest rooms/suites and 250,000 square feet of meeting and event space to local and national markets.
Lisa Stringer attended AC Flora High School in Columbia, SC. Following their high school education, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) and an Associate of Science (AS) in Business Administration/Marketing at the University of South Carolina, where they studied from 1981 to 1986.
