Melissa Flanders OTR/L is a dedicated occupational therapist with extensive experience within the Sheppard Pratt Health System and in private practice. Since March 2014, Melissa has served as Occupational Therapist II at The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt, leading rehabilitation services for individuals transitioning toward greater autonomy. Additionally, in private practice, Melissa specializes in supporting clients recovering from mental illness, collaborating with their treatment teams to promote meaningful occupational engagement. Melissa's career began as a recreational therapist at Sheppard Pratt from 2003 to 2011, and academic credentials include a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Towson University and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from The University of Georgia.
