Rachel Harvey

Emergency Preparedness Lead at ShelterBox

Rachel Harvey is an accomplished humanitarian professional with extensive experience in emergency preparedness and management. Currently serving as the Emergency Preparedness Lead and Ukraine Programme Manager at ShelterBox since June 2022, Rachel previously worked as an Independent Consultant and Consultant at Head Set, focusing on immersive VR training for journalists and aid workers. From 2012 to 2021, Rachel held the role of Operations Coordinator at ShelterBox International, managing emergency shelter programs in various complex settings worldwide. Additional notable roles include Mentor at the Aspen Institute New Voices Fellowship, Head of Special Projects at IRIN, and BBC International Correspondent. Rachel holds a Master of Science degree in International Humanitarian Affairs from the University of York, alongside a BA (Honors) in Music from the University of Southampton and research studies at the University of Cambridge.
