Akram Nakhla is an accomplished information security and risk manager with extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the Information Security & Risk Manager (CISO) and IT Programme Manager at Basrah Gas Company, a Shell joint venture in Iraq, Akram Nakhla has held various leadership roles within Shell since 2006, including Regional Production & Engineering IT Lead and Asset Systems Manager. Previous positions include Project Manager at Alcatel-Lucent, where Akram Nakhla managed telecom projects, and Project Manager and Business Developer at Raya, overseeing system integration projects for banking and telecommunications clients. Akram Nakhla holds a degree from Cairo University, earned between 1996 and 2001.
