Thomas Hay has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Thomas started their career as a Geoscience Intern at bp in 1996 and 1997. Thomas then worked as a Geophysicist at WesternGeco from 1999 to 2006. At Schlumberger, Thomas held various roles, including Senior Geophysicist/Team Manager and Business Development Manager & Senior Geophysicist from 2007 to 2011. Thomas then joined WesternGeco again as the GeoSolutions Sales Manager EAF from 2011 to 2013. Thomas moved to Schlumberger PetroTechnical Services in 2013 and served as the UKG GeoSolutions Manager and later as a Global Account Manager until 2015. Thomas then joined WesternGeco as an Account Manager in 2015 before transitioning to Shearwater GeoServices. At Shearwater GeoServices, Thomas worked as the VP Sales from 2017 to 2018, VP of Marketing from 2018 to 2023, and is currently serving as the VP Client Engagement since August 2023.

Thomas Hay has a Mini-MBA program for Schlumberger managers/executives from INSEAD in 2008. Thomas also received an MSC in Petroleum Geophysics from Imperial College London in 1999 and a BA in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Oxford in 1998.
