Stephanie Unna has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Stephanie started their career as a Master's Student at Imperial College London, where they conducted research on aphid feeding preferences and mathematical modeling of virus transmission. Stephanie then pursued their PhD at the University of Cambridge and later worked as a PhD Graduate Student at the Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University.

After completing their academic pursuits, Stephanie transitioned into the field of software development, working as a Software Developer at Open Humans, MMT Digital, and comparethemarket.com. Stephanie'sroles included working on big data engineering, software development, and serving as a Senior Software Engineer. Stephanie also had a secondment as a Product Manager at comparethemarket.com.

Stephanie also ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Fathom Beyond, an ethical tourism company in Kenya that aimed to empower local communities. Additionally, they served as the Director of Fathom Labs, where they provided technical solutions for scientific organizations.

More recently, Stephanie worked at Advent International as a Product Manager and Data Advisor. Currently, they are employed at Shawbrook Bank, where they hold the positions of Product Data Lead and Head of Product Data.

Stephanie Unna obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Bristol in 2009. Stephanie then pursued a Higher Education Diploma (DIPHE) in Conservation Biology at the University of the West of England from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, Stephanie pursued a Research Master's (MRes) in Entomology at Imperial College London. Later, they attended the University of Cambridge from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Systems Biology.
