Basil M. Al Essa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently, Basil serves as Partner at PEM Strategy, Chairman at ReTech Reinsurance Brokers Co., and Chairman at Joa Capital, in addition to being a Senior Advisor at Atlantico Partners. Previous positions include President at Shawarmer from 2019 to 2022, Vice President of Strategy & Transformation at Americana Restaurants from 2016 to 2018, and Senior Director of Strategy & Business Development at Emaar from 2015 to 2018. Basil began their career at Saudi Aramco as an Engineer and further developed expertise at Bain & Company as a Consultant. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
