Brian Perry has over 30 years of experience in the IT field. Brian began their career in 1989 as a Designer-Developer at AT&T. In 1994, they moved to a role as an Oracle DBA and Tech Lead, Developer, and Tester at AT&T. Brian was responsible for creating and maintaining front GUI screens, Oracle stored procedures, C and Pro-C batch jobs, and various other batch script jobs. In 1998, Brian moved to Capital One as an IT Manager. Brian was responsible for leading a contractor-staffed API development team and effectively worked with the business customers, architects, and product management to deliver middleware services/APIs across two different Credit Card departments. Brian also led the implementation of an API which practically eliminated a fraud scenario, saving the company about $1 million dollars a month. Brian then moved to roles as a Business Systems Analyst, Tech Lead, and Data Modeler at Capital One. In 2017, they moved to Shaw Systems Associates, Inc. as a Senior Business System Analyst.

Brian Perry obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting Information Systems from Virginia Tech between 1984 and 1988. In September 2005, they obtained a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
