Sean Hammond is an experienced sports journalist currently serving as the lead Chicago Bears reporter for Shaw Media since August 2016, with stories published in multiple daily newspapers, including the Northwest Herald and the Daily Herald. Prior roles include reporting on Chicago's suburban sports, local prep sports in Southwest Michigan for The Herald-Palladium, and covering various sports teams in the Phoenix area as a Pulliam fellow. Hammond's early career features leadership as the sports editor for The Daily Illini, alongside roles as a copy editor and sports writer. Additional internships with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Daily Herald, and Reflejos Bilingual Journal contributed to a diverse reporting background. Hammond holds a Bachelor of Science in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
