Essi Inkinen's work experience includes a role as a GIS specialist and project manager at Sharper Shape Inc. since November 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Posti Group Oyj as a process planner from September 2017 to October 2019. Essi also held roles at Posti Group Oyj as a designer from November 2016 to April 2017, using ArcGis software to design new solutions to the early morning delivery department, and as a customer advisor from January 2013 to October 2016.

Essi Inkinen obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Development Geography from the University of Helsinki, where they studied from 2009 to 2016.
